As a Bruce House supporter, we don’t need to tell you how COVID-19 has disproportionately hit the most vulnerable people in our community. We also don’t need to tell you how much the restaurant industry has suffered—odds are one of your fave eateries is no longer with us.
This year we are not asking the participating restaurants to donate the usual 25% of sales. We are just asking them to include a donation card with every take-out or delivery order on Wednesday April 21. These businesses have supported Bruce House for years—some of them for over a decade—and now they need us. Please have a look at the ATFL web site and treat yourself to a meal from one of these generous community supporters. Encourage your friends to do the same. Think about how wonderful it will be for these restaurants to see how valued they are by their community!
We are counting on you to get the word out, donate if you can, and ask your friends to donate if they can. If people you know have faced financial hardship due to COVID, why not treat them to dinner? What a great surprise it would be for someone to get a text, “Dinner’s on me tonight, its on the way to your place now!”
If you can also support people living with HIV in Ottawa by making a donation, double thank-you!
You can donate online at brucehouse.ca/atfl or send a cheque to the address below:

We want to extent our heartfelt thanks to TD for once again sponsoring A Taste for Life. Their contribution more than covers the costs of the event, ensuring that every dollar you give goes directly to helping our clients.
A huge shout-out to Flora Hall Brewing for not only joining us this year but also making a generous donation. We can’t say enough about how much this support means at this time.
Warm hugs to our restaurant partners and everyone in the industry, we appreciate your work and your struggles this past year.
