On Oct. 22 2024 agencies from across the city, all part of the Ottawa Food Bank network, gathered at city hall to send a clear message: funding is needed now.
40% of food banks in Ottawa have to turn people away because they lack the ability to serve everyone.
Imagine going to a food bank, desperate to feed your family, only to be told they are out of food!
Please contact your city councilor and/or attend a budget consultation session.
Demand that the Poverty Reduction Strategy receive funding.
