This past April Bruce House clients, volunteers, and staff got together to for an afternoon of creativity and remembering. The mixed media pieces were created as tributes representing how HIV has impacted their own lives and people they have lost. The pieces were presented at the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial held in May and planned by Bruce House and The AIDS Committee of Ottawa.
This art project was lead by REST Program Coordinator Sam Taylor along with volunteer Sam Jazzy. Future art projects are planned as part of Bruce House’s efforts to engage clients, reduce social isolation, and improve overall well-being.
