We are thrilled to announce receipt of the following grants! These funds will go a long way to ensuring our continued support for vulnerable people living with HIV in Ottawa.
Did you know? Sustained funding from the provincial and municipal governments only cover about half our budget! That means Bruce House must tirelessly apply for one-time grants, fundraise, and ask for your donations to meet the needs of our clients .
MAC Cosmetics
For 30 years MAC Cosmetics has supported the HIV community through the sale of their VIVA Glam line of lipsticks. Celebrating this anniversary, and with a long history of supporting Bruce House, MAC has given Bruce House a grant of $30,000 to support our programs and services.
We also received a second grant from MAC for $25,000 in honour of World AIDS Day and our long-term partnership.

Minto Foundation, HALO Fund
The HALO Fund exists to level the playing field by providing opportunities to help people to achieve a better quality of life in the areas of healthcare, affordable housing and essentials needs, local and environmental sustainability, and opportunities for growth and development.
Bruce House has received a $30,000 grant from the HALO fund to support our Client Health & Wellness programs. These funds will be instrumental in supporting our food program, purchasing emergency items and household expenses, transportation costs and other instrumental supports for vulnerable clients living with HIV.
Harry P. Ward Foundation
The Harry P. Ward Foundation has a long history of supporting people in the Ottawa area, and a long history to supporting Bruce House. We are touched to have received a $2500 grant from them in support of vulnerable people living with HIV.
Centretown Churches Action Committee
Bruce House received a $1000 grant from this committee representing a collective of 22 churches in downtown Ottawa. We are touched to be included in their work in responding to social needs in the Centretown area.
Ottawa Community Foundation and an Anonymous Donor
The Ottawa Community Foundation exists to connect generous people with charitable causes. They have been instrumental in connecting Bruce House with donors, and recently helped us receive a $10,000 grant from an anonymous donor.
