A Taste For Life – our signature event

A Taste for Life started in Ottawa in 1999, in support of Bruce House and the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation. Since then Taste has been joined by communities across the country, bringing together people who want to make life better for individuals impacted by HIV.

Participating is easy!  Just check the list of participating eateries and enjoy a great meal with friends… what could be easier?  25% of your bill– including drinks – will be donated by the restaurant.  We also welcome any additional donation you wish to make. Thanks to our sponsors, including title sponsor TD, all event costs are covered – so every dollar you donate goes directly to programs and services.

A Taste For Life happens every spring – check the official website for details.

Community Events in support of Bruce House

Bruce House is fortunate to receive tremendous community support, including fundraising events organised by caring people and groups in our community.  Among these are two annual events held every year during Capital Pride. Combined, these events raise over $16,000 annually for Bruce House programs and services!

National Capital Pride Run

Run or walk for a great cause!  Join a great group of people for a 5km run or 2.5km walk held at Tunney’s Pasture the day before the big Capital Pride parade.  Get all the details on the official web site.

Drag & Balls

What happens when you combine softball with outrageous outfits in a city park?  An afternoon of hilarious fun!  Held in the afternoon of the day before the Capital Pride parade, Drag & Balls is a “don’t miss it” event.  See their Facebook page for all the updates.
