Mariah joined Bruce House in September as part of the federal government’s Canada Summer Jobs Program.  She quickly impressed us with her ability to think on her feet, be proactive, and cope with the chaotic nature of our work.  Mariah claims she “enjoys every crazy minute of it” – so  we have extended her contract until the end of the fiscal year (March 31, 2021)!

Mariah is in her last year of studies at the University of Ottawa studying International Development and Globalization with a minor in Women’s Studies. When she is not working or studying, she loves to enjoy nature, animals, and reading.
