Supportive Independent Living Program (SILP)

The SILP Supported Independent Living Program (Apartment Program) provides access to secure, safe, affordable and stable housing for families, individuals, and couples, in up to 40 subsidized apartments. Bruce House supports these residents in activities of daily living and provides access to other agencies and services in the community. Wellness checks, referrals, and programming such as the Community Kitchen and Buddy Program help to create social connections. This program is for people living with HIV who want to live independently with minimal supports.

Clients have the opportunity to attend various monthly programs; these include Community Kitchen, Art Workshops and Dinner Socials that have a different theme every month (speakers, games, movies etc.).
