World AIDS Day is “an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.” (http://www.worldaidsday.org)
This year Bruce House is observing World AIDS Day by reaffirming our commitment to the Ontario Accord and the principles it embodies: the Greater and Meaningful Involvement of People with HIV/AIDS in every aspect of the organization (known as “GIPA/MIPA”). As part of this commitment, Bruce House is exploring creating an advisory council to include the voices of community and clients in Bruce House governance. This project is in its early stages, if you would like to contribute to its formation please contact Patrick.
